Bitcoin initiated yet another leg up in the past 24 hours, resulting in nearing $28,000 for the first time since June 2022.
The altcoins are also well in the green, with ETH reclaiming $1,800, while SOL, UNI, AVAX, and ETC have skyrocketed by up to 14%.
BTC Taps Yet Another 9-Month High
The US banking crisis, which later expanded to Europe as well, harmed bitcoin’s price performance at the end of last week as the asset tumbled below $20,000 for the first time in two months. However, the landscape started to change with the start of the new week.
Bitcoin began adding a couple of grand daily, which resulted in breaking above $26,000 on Tuesday. After its initial retracement to $24,000, the cryptocurrency went on a roll once again on Thursday and Friday.
The past 24 hours brought yet another price surge. This time, BTC spiked above $27,000 and even came inches away from tapping $28,000. This became its highest price tag since June 2022.
Despite failing to reclaim that level and dropping by a few hundred dollars, bitcoin is still north of $27,000 and is up by 4.5% on the day. Its market capitalization has touched $530 billion, while its dominance over the altcoins sits just above 45%.

Stacks, Conflux, Mask Network Steal the Show
The altcoins have also charted impressive gains, led by the largest one. ETH has jumped by over 5% in the past 24 hours alone and reclaimed $1,800 for the first time in months.
Binance Coin, Ripple, Cardano, MATIC, Dogecoin, Polkadot, Shiba Inu, and Litecoin have added up to 5% in a day. More gains come from the likes of Solana, Avalanche, Uniswap, LEO, and Ethereum Classic. ETC has soared by more than 13% on a daily scale.
Nevertheless, the most substantial price increases come from lower-cap alts. Mask Network, Conflux, MAGIC, dYdX, and Stacks have skyrocketed by 20% to 45% in a day. STX, CFX, and MASK are up by triple digits on a weekly scale.
With all of those gains, it’s no wonder that the crypto market cap has added another $40 billion in a day and stands at $1.170 trillion.

Stacks Soars 115% Weekly, Bitcoin Eyes $28K: Weekend Watch

Bitcoin’s rollercoaster of around $23,000 and $24,000 continues, as the asset bounced off the former to tap the latter once again in the past 24 hours.
Most altcoins have also turned green today, and, somewhat expectedly, as of late, STX has stolen the show.
BTC Touched $24K (Again)
Last week saw BTC try its hand at taking down $25,000 a few times but to no avail. The asset’s inability to overcome that line pushed it south hard, especially after the US PCE data came out for January on Friday.
This resulted in an 11-day low at under $22,800 during the weekend. However, bitcoin began to recover some ground at the start of the working week and pumped to $23,800 on Monday.
Despite being stopped there and driven back down to $23,000 hours later, the cryptocurrency initiated another leg up hours ago. In this one, BTC skyrocketed by around $1,000 and touched $24,000.
Yet, it was unable to conquer that level and now sits just a few hundred dollars below it. Its market capitalization has increased to $460 billion, and its dominance over the alts is at 42.4%.

STX Keeps the Rally Going
The hype around the Ordinals NFT, based on Bitcoin, turned Stacks, due to its relationship with the Gamma marketplace, into one of the best performers for the past few weeks. This trend was only solidified in the last 24 hours, as STX soared by another 16% and even exceeded $1 earlier today to register its highest price tag since the end of April 2022.
Aptos is another notable gainer on a 24-hour scale, having surged by 8.5% and trading at $13.
The rest of the larger-cap alts are also in the green, albeit with more modest gains. Ethereum, Binance Coin, Ripple, OKB, Cardano, Dogecoin, Polygon, Solana, Polkadot, and Shiba Inu have all increased by up to 3% in a day.
The total crypto market cap has added $20 billion daily but still sits just under $1.1 trillion on CMC.

Stacks (STX) surges as Bitcoin NFT hype grows, but its blockchain activity raises concern

One of the hottest altcoins on the crypto market may have more room to run, according to a closely followed trader.
Pseudonymous trader Cantering Clark says that Stacks (STX), a project meant to boost the utility of Bitcoin (BTC), could be due for a short squeeze based on how much open interest is building up on the coin.

The trader tells his 161,000 Twitter followers that STX, which is already up 217% in the last 30 days, is likely due for a squeeze to the upside, but notes that high open interest hasn’t always signaled legs up.
“STX funding is -.21 on Bybit right now.
First line of thinking might be that since OI [open interest] is up aggressively with this it is due for a squeeze. Same logic with APT (Aptos) occurred but the ridiculous funding marked the high.
Sellers ate all buying, no squeeze came.
Worst case scenario whoever is selling loses their average price.
So breaking $1 would be pretty bad.”
At time of writing, STX is trading at $0.92, up 24% in the last 24 hours.
Cantering Clark is also watching DYDX, the token that powers popular decentralized crypto exchange (DEX) Dydx.
According to him, DYDX could be in the midst of a quick consolidation phase before a rally to new local highs. He shares a chart suggesting that DYDX has bounced off of strong support near the $2.80 level and is heading up through a downward trend line.
“Want to see DYDX really start to push here if this level is just a pit stop before continuation.
So far it looks really good and is one of the strongest pairs today.”

At time of writing, DYDX is trading at $2.96, up 6% on the day.

Altcoin That Exploded 217% This Month May Be Due for Another Rally, Says Top Trader

Bitcoin dipped below $23,000 to mark a multi-week low but managed to bounce off rather quickly and has reclaimed that level.
Most altcoins sit quietly once again, aside from Stacks. STX has taken full advantage of the Ordinals hype and has soared to almost $1.
Bitcoin Back Above $23K
Following the three unsuccessful attempts to decisively overcome $25,000 last week, bitcoin headed south and slipped to $24,000 at the end of it. Things took another turn for the worse on Friday when the US PCE data came out, suggesting a 0.6% increase since January.
Bitcoin reacted with an instant price drop to $23,000. It dipped further during the weekend to $22,800 (on Bitstamp), which became its lowest price tag since February 15.
The low trading volumes on Sunday meant that BTC remained calm at around $23,000. The bulls finally stepped up hours ago by pushing BTC to over $22,600. Despite retracing by a few hundred dollars since then, the asset still stands well above $23,000, and its market cap has climbed above $450 billion.

STX Keeps Going
It’s safe to say that the relationship between Stacks and the Gamma marketplace has paid a lot of dividends for the former ever since the emergence of the Ordinals NFTs on top of the Bitcoin network. STX has become one of the best performers lately, and the past 24 hours only solidified that narrative.
The asset is up by more than 23% on a daily scale and came inches away from tapping $1 earlier today.
The rest of the altcoins are a lot calmer yet again. Ethereum managed to defend $1,600, and a 1.7% increase has pushed it well above that line. Binance Coin sits north of $300 following a minor daily climb.
In contrast, Ripple, Cardano, Polygon, Dogecoin, Solana, and Polkadot are slightly in the red.
Nevertheless, the total crypto market cap has remained under $1.1 trillion on CMC despite adding $10 billion in a day.
