Bitcoin is 1 week away from 'confirming' new bull market — analyst

The Switzerland-based crypto ETP issuer – 21Shares – will reportedly terminate five of its funds and delist another one due to low interest from investors. 
Arielle Pennington – Head of Global Communications – claimed the firm will keep offering its other products that enjoy a solid level of demand.
Scraping Some ETPs
As revealed by Bloomberg, the company will close down the following five funds: the 21Shares S&P Risk Controlled Ethereum Index ETP (ticker SPETH), the 21Shares S&P Risk Controlled Bitcoin Index ETP (ticker SPBTC), the 21Shares DeFi 10 Infrastructure ETP (DEFII), the 21Shares USD Yield ETP (USDY), and the 21Shares Crypto Layer 1 ETP (LAY1). 
Traders will no longer have access from April 6. It will also delist the 21Shares Terra Classic ETP (LUNA) on June 12. 
The main reason behind the move is the low interest, as they have total assets of less than $700,000.
Pennington outlined that the demand for the other ETPs remains strong, adding that January saw a significant amount of inflows. During that month, assets under management for the 21Shares Bitcoin ETP (ABTC) and the 21Shares Ethereum ETP (AETH) surpassed $200 million.
The Fed’s policy of lifting interest rates has negatively affected some products, such as ETPs, and could be one reason behind the slide of the cryptocurrency market last year. Other factors include the countless scandals and collapses in the industry, with FTX, Terra, and Celsius among the infamous examples. 
However, the market condition has improved a lot since the start of the year. Bitcoin and many altcoins surged to multi-month peaks amid the banking cataclysm in the US. 
In addition, the industry could further benefit if the Fed puts an end to its aggressive rate hikes and thus give a breath of fresh air to risk-off assets. The initial expectations are that the central bank will increase interest rates by 25 basis points next week, while some believe they might not touch the percentage after lifting it for eight consecutive months. 
The BTC ETF Was Rejected Again
Apart from offering ETPs, 21Shares displayed its plans to introduce a spot Bitcoin ETF on the Cboe BZX Exchange in a joint effort with Ark Investment Management. Nonetheless, the US SEC rejected the application nearly two months ago, as it did in the spring of 2022.
It maintained that the Cboe BZX Exchange did not “demonstrate that its proposal is consistent with the requirements” to prevent price manipulation and scams.
The SEC has previously dismissed similar efforts launched by VanEck, NYDIG, Grayscale, and other organizations.

Litecoin was back in the green on March 13, as cryptocurrency markets rebounded to start the week. The token rose by as much as 15% in today’s session, with the global crypto market cap trading nearly 10% higher. Ethereum classic also moved significantly higher.

Litecoin (LTC) rose by as much as 15% to start the week, as cryptocurrency markets rebounded from recent losses.
LTC/USD surged to an intraday high of $79.53 earlier in today’s session, less than 24 hours after hitting a low of $68.66.
The move saw litecoin climb to its strongest point since last Friday, when the token was at a peak of $84.92.

Looking at the chart, one catalyst of the move appears to be the 14-day relative strength index (RSI), which broke out of a recent resistance point.
As of writing, the index is tracking at 41.05, following a move beyond the aforementioned ceiling at 40.00.
Should momentum continue in this direction, there is a strong chance that LTC bulls will take price to a ceiling at $85.00.

Ethereum Classic (ETC)
In addition to LTC, ethereum classic (ETC) also rebounded from recent lows during Monday’s session.
Following a low of $17.05 on Sunday, ETC/USD raced to a peak of $20.20 to start the week.
This high has also acted as a point of resistance in recent weeks, and since a collision earlier in the day, bullish momentum has marginally eased.

At the time of writing, ETC/USD is trading at $19.65, which is still nearly 15% higher than yesterday’s bottom.
Overall, it appears that previous bulls have moved to secure gains, as the RSI nears a ceiling of its own at 48.00.

Ethereum classic remained near a two-month low on March 6, as a cloud of uncertainty continued to hover over markets. The global crypto market cap remained bearish to start the week, and is down 0.55% at the time of writing. Litecoin also moved lower on Monday.

Ethereum classic (ETC) started the week trading close to a two-month low, as volatility in crypto markets remained high.
ETC/USD slipped to an intraday low of $19.26 on Monday, a day after trading at a peak of $20.05.
The move has pushed ethereum classic towards Friday’s bottom at $18.89, which was its weakest point since January 6.

Overall, today’s drop has seen ETC fall for a fifth consecutive session, down by over 8% in that period.
Prices are marginally higher than earlier lows, which comes as the 14-day relative strength index (RSI) collided with a floor at 36.00
At the time of writing, the index is tracking at 36.19, with the next visible floor at the 30.00 mark, in the event of a breakout.

Litecoin (LTC)
In addition to ethereum classic, litecoin (LTC) was another notable mover, as the token fell by as much as 4%.
Following a high of $91.27 on Sunday, LTC/USD dropped to a bottom at $87.15 during Monday’s session.
As a result of this move, litecoin moved closer to a floor at $86.00, which was last hit on Friday, and also a six-week low.

Recent declines in LTC have come following a downward crossover of the 10-day (red), and 25-day (blue) moving averages.
In addition to this, the RSI is now tracking at 40.47, which is marginally above support at 40.00.
Despite hovering beyond this floor, the index is at its weakest point since December 24 last year.

Biggest Movers: ETC Remains Near 2-Month Low, LTC Down by 4% on Monday

C-Smash VRS reimagines an obscure Sega classic for PSVR 2, and we went hands-on to preview its upcoming demo.
We’re facing tough times in the VR community with multiplayer. Games like Gorilla Tag continue thriving, but Echo VR’s upcoming closure still stings for many, while smaller games like Nerf Ultimate Championship barely got off the ground before announcing closure. As a mix of Squash and Breakout, C-Smash VRS isn’t emulating those games, but on PSVR 2, I believe it could fill a crucial multiplayer gap.

Developed alongside The Last Worker by Jörg Tittel and Wolf & Wood, C-Smash VRS is a passion project 22 years in the making, and 2001’s Cosmic Smash is arguably one of Sega’s most obscure games. Developed by Sega Rosso, the Dreamcast edition became a Japan-only title following the console’s discontinuation, relegating the Western release to arcades only. I recently attended a C-Smash VRS preview event and tried the arcade edition.
C-Smash VRS requires a sizable play area as you’ll move left and right across a wide distance, and this preview was based on the upcoming demo with solo training and 1v1 online multiplayer. Solo or not, your goal involves hitting colored pads across this room. Call the ball forward through a pulling motion with your Sense controller, use the other controller as a racket, and start hitting away. Some require multiple hits, others move position, and a few are blocked by indestructible grey tiles.
Similar to Squash, the ball bounces back toward you and play doesn’t stop until each tile has been hit; there’s no penalty for missing shots. It’s a simple arrangement that feels easy to jump into, backed up by a retro-futuristic soundtrack and I quickly got into the rhythm. Annoyingly, a couple of shots didn’t track correctly and hit behind me when serving, but I’m hopeful this will be fixed before launch. I was also cautious of my surroundings in may playthrough because there was another player not far behind me on a separate demo unit.

After a few practice rounds, I moved onto 1v1 online multiplayer. Gameplay doesn’t drastically differ but this time, you’re clearing a set group of tiles from behind your opponent, which comes in several groups, and the first to clear them all wins. I didn’t win but I enjoyed the competitive gameplay this adds, and I could feel myself working up a sweat. There’s other modes coming, like two-player co-op against an AI, but these weren’t available to try.
Understanding the fundamentals didn’t take long, and the vibrant blue and orange visuals against this grey space station contrasts well. It‘s immediately clear how much care C-Smash puts into recreating the original game and Tittel highlighted his staff’s efforts in development. Calling this his “dream team,” that includes game director Ryan Bousfield from Wolf & Wood (The Last Worker), designers Cory Schmitz (Tetris Effect) and Arkotype (Polytron), alongside musicians Ken Ishii (Rez Infinite) and Danalogue (The Comet is Coming), many of whom also attended this preview.
Tittel told me in an interview after the demo that development began last year after he approached Sega in 2019. He said he’s wanted to do this since 2001 and I asked how he went from an anti-capitalist adventure like The Last Worker to racket sports.
“This is anti-capitalist too, in the sense that we’re adapting a game that didn’t make bucks. It’s almost an anti-product but to me, the Dreamcast was also that,” he said.
He said he holds a lot of love for Sega’s last major console and worked for the Official Dreamcast Magazine at one point: 
It was the purest console because it dared to be original and fostered independent game development. That invented indie game development as far as I’m concerned, because United Game Artists and Sega Rosso, these teams were autonomous creatively, all founded by people that had earned their place within Sega. The team size was akin to indies today. The ambition is perfect for an indie since it’s not confined by commercial norms.

Asked whether it was challenging adapting Cosmic Smash for VR, he tells me that C-Smash VRS “felt natural from the beginning.” Working with Arkotype and Schmitz, he then approached Bousfield during development on The Last Worker. “I was quite shy at first about convincing him to do another game at the same time, which is kind of mad. The fact that we did it is completely insane.”
It’s easy to draw parallels with Rez, which was originally  developed by United Game Artists for arcades and Dreamcast before Enhance Games brought it to VR, and Tittel confirms it was an influence for C-Smash. He said it was the first PSVR 2 game he bought and that the influence historically goes both ways:
Cosmic Smash was also an influence on Rez because of Kenji Sasaki, he was the executive producer at Sega Rosso and director of Sega Rally. Sega Rally was produced by [Tetsuya Mizuguchi], who then founded United Game Artists and Sasaki-san founded Sega Rosso. Cosmic Smash and Rez started development at the same time. Rez came out in the arcades a year before Dreamcast, so it had an influence visually, aesthetically and philosophically.
He expresses strong admiration for “Mizuguchi-san”, who’s since developed Tetris Effect and Humanity, and praises him for sticking to his vision across his entire career. “Synesthesia…becoming one with feeling, reducing things to the gameplay essence, he’s a fucking incredible game-maker.” 

I suggest this naturally leans into VR’s immersive nature well and Tittel agrees:
Video games started with arcades as a social thing, they weren’t a nerd thing in basements…Games are theatrical, physical, social; that’s what I love about them. You can also have a solo game experience that other people watch. That’s social and we do that with books; we read a book and talk about it. When we watch theater, we enjoy it alone, you don’t fucking babble during it. I want to be part of this new game development movement that makes games you want to talk about. 
C-Smash VRS arrives later this year on PSVR 2, with a demo launching on March 23. As for post-launch plans, Tittel doesn’t confirm any specifics, though I’m told C-Smash VRS doesn’t end with its full release.
“There’s a whole sort of roadmap ahead and there’s a journey in the game for a reason. The universe is a large place.”

C-Smash VRS Hands-On: This Could Be The Multiplayer Game PSVR 2 Needs

A VR game based on Isaac Asimov’s classic sci-if series Foundation is coming to PSVR 2, Quest 2, and Pico 4 this year from Archiact.
Sony revealed the announcement trailer for Journey To Foundation during its latest State of Play stream. Archiact is the studio behind DOOM 3: VR Edition, MARVEL: Dimension of Heroes, Freediver: Triton Down and Evasion.

Some people might be familiar with Asimov’s Foundation series given Apple is airing multiple seasons of a show based on the work on its Apple TV+ service. There doesn’t appear to be any connection between the show and to Journey To Foundation aside from the underlying story. Here’s the official description of Journey To Foundation:
In Journey to Foundation, players embark on a clandestine mission as Agent Ward, a spy sent to the edge of the Galactic Empire to infiltrate a group of deserters… only to uncover a dire truth that could change the course of history.Armed with the best tools and weapons the Empire has to offer, you’ll have to decide who to trust. Will you fight for an Empire that Hari Seldon has predicted will collapse into 30,000 years of anarchy, or will you defect to the Foundation and help them build a new cradle for humanity?
We don’t have too many details at this point but it’s a role playing adventure where “every choice carries a consequence and affects your story”. Journey To Foundation is slated for release on Pico 4, Quest 2, and PSVR 2 “in Autumn 2023.”

Those old enough to remember the early 2000s may recall an odd-looking video game for the ill-fated Sega Dreamcast console called Cosmic Smash. The game combined puzzle action and sports to immerse players in a futuristic experience set in a subway-style system. Unfortunately, the game was only available in select arcades in Japan and Europe before releasing on Sega Dreamcast consoles in Japan. 









Thankfully, Sony has chosen to resurrect the futuristic title as an original VR game for the soon-to-be-released PlayStation VR2. Jörg Tittel, director of RapidEyeMovers, revealed the news earlier this week via the official Sony blog. 



Cosmic Smash can best be described as a mix between the sport squash and the classic arcade game Breakout. The player’s primary goal is to destroy a series of target tiles by ricocheting a small ball using a virtual racket. The original game was played using conventional joysticks and buttons, allowing you to control the movements of your on-screen avatar.

RapidEyeMovers’ VR remake, C-Smash VRS, will reimagine the original classic for VR headsets, specifically the PlayStation VR2. According to Tittel, the game will feature both single-player and multiplayer game modes when it officially launches. No doubt the title will make interesting use of the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers. 



“While the game felt like it came from an alternate universe, it wholly embraced the most fundamental part of what makes games great: it was a blast,” said Tittel. “If ever I wanted to travel to a virtual world, it would be this one: a place where I can relax while moving, in inviting spaces that are uncluttered and effortlessly stylish, devoid of the stresses, the noises, and the garishness of our daily grind.”

A Classic Sega Dreamcast Game Is Coming To VR

Sega’s futuristic block-breaker, which you might remember from its launch on Dreamcast in 2001 or in arcades throughout Europe and Japan, is being reimagined for PSVR 2 with C-Smash VRS.

The game is bringing an immersive twist to Cosmic Smash’s low gravity squash-meets-blockbreaker gameplay, including single player, co-op, and 1v1 multiplayer modes—that’s what the ‘VRS’ stands for, both virtual reality and versus.
Besides bringing the futuristic racket sport to VR, C-Smash VRS is also set to rekindle some long dormant memories with its thumping OST, which seems to be inspired by the original’s ambient techno score; new tracks are being composed by DJ Ken Ishii (Rez Infinite) and Danalogue (The Comet is Coming, Soccer 96).
The game is currently under development by indie studio RapidEyeMovers, with the IP licensed from Sega. The studio says it’s working with VR veterans Wolf & Wood (The Last Worker, The Exorcist: Legion VR), and designers Cory Schmitz (Rez Infinite, Sound Shapes) and Arkotype (Polytron) to bring it to PSVR 2 later this year.
While we don’t have a launch date yet, a free demo of C-Smash VRS for PSVR 2 is coming to the PlayStation Store on March 23rd. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game here.

Dragon Ball Z, the Japanese anime series, has received a number of popular video game adaptations over the years. That said, fans of the ultra-popular television show have been eagerly awaiting the day they can deliver a Kamehameha in VR using motion controls. 



Well, wait no more! According to a tweet from the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour account, Dragon Ball Z is finally coming to VR, allowing you to play as the legendary character Gohan during the infamous Cell saga.

But before you get too excited, there is a bit of a twist to this story. This exclusive VR game, which the team describes as an “immersive dragon ball experience,” is just for attendees of the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event that’s being held in Las Vegas on March 5th and 6th, and, unfortunately, it’s not clear if this will be available as a commercial game.



At this point, there isn’t a lot of information on the game, but the two official photos released look pretty promising. According to the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour website, registration for the “Special VR Game” is open now to the general public. Or you can register as a spectator to root for your friends.

Along with this exclusive Dragon Ball Z VR game, attendees will also be able to create their own custom Profile Card which you can pick from eight different avatars. Customize your look, choose an original username, and insert a cool background. You’ll also be able to collect Profile Cards of other fans and even cards of the game’s producers. 



As your online avatar, you can cheer for other players by giving a fist pump, delivering applause, raising a glow stick, or performing a fist energy attack known as the Kamehameha, a fight move that is widely used as a finishing attack throughout the Dragon Bal series.









Not only are organizers of Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour promising you an exclusive Dragon Ball Z VR game, but they are also looking to deliver the ultimate Dragon Ball experience with three killer competitions: Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Dragon Ball Super Card Game, and Dragon Ball Legends.

Dragon Ball Is Getting A VR Game But With A Twist

RapidEyeMovers and Wolf & Wood revealed C-Smash VRS, a “complete reimagining” of Cosmic Smash that arrives on PSVR 2 later this year, and there’s a free demo dropping next month.
Previously teased through a countdown website, C-Smash VRS is based on Sega’s Cosmic Smash, which first appeared on Dreamcast and arcades in 2001. A futuristic combination of Squash and Breakout with online multiplayer and solo play, that’s directed by Jörg Tittel, who also worked on the upcoming VR game The Last Worker. Speaking on PlayStation Blog, Tittel confirms C-Smash VRS is being created by what he calls “a dream team of people whose work I admire,” which includes two former Rez Infinite developers. Features like finger detection, 3D audio and haptic feedback are promised, while the upcoming demo includes a solo training mode and limited online multiplayer with another player. Combining a low-gravity form of Squash with timed block-breaking challenges, C-Smash VRS brings together the very best of racket sports and timeless action puzzle gameplay. Dashing and ducking from one side to the other and performing intense shots and trick smashes, players can use all walls as they journey through dozens of levels of fun and fitness. Players can either play alone or forge a cosmic connection with a friend, exploring a variety of online versus and co-op modes.
C-Smash VRS arrives on PSVR 2 later this year, while the demo drops on March 23.

Space Pirate Trainer DX ($20 value)

Space Pirate Trainer DX has been the go-to wave shooter since the early days of VR, but don’t let its age fool you: it’s still one of the slickest sci-fi shooting games around, feeling like a mix of Space Invaders and some sort of Mandalorian combat simulator from a galaxy far far away.
While primarily a single-player game, if you have the physical space and a Quest 2-owning friend, you can also play Space Pirate Arena, which basically gives you a 1v1 all-out battle similar to how you might play paintball or airsoft, but in VR.

Just before the Ethereum network transitioned from a proof-of-work (PoW) blockchain to proof-of-stake (PoS), Ethereum Classic’s hashrate saw a significant increase. Ethereum Classic Loses Luster After The Merge
Ethereum Classic (ETC) was the center of attention just before Ethereum’s (ETH) big transition, but has since lost its PoW dance partner. Since Ethereum’s transition from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS), the Ethereum Classic (ETC) network has seen an increase in hashrate. On Jan. 17, 2022, ETC had 23.87 terahash per second (TH/s) of hashrate. As of Jan. 30, 2023, over a year later, Ethereum Classic has a total of 119.32 TH/s in hashrate, a 399% increase in 12 months. However, 134 days ago, ETC’s computational power was more than 44% higher.
ETC’s price and hashrate both saw a significant increase on Sept. 15, 2022, the day of the Ethereum transition from proof-of-work (PoW) to proof-of-stake (PoS). On that day, ethereum classic (ETC) was valued at around $35.81 per coin, after reaching $39 per unit the day prior. Ethereum Classic’s price was on fire at the time, but it has since cooled off like a wet campfire. As of Jan. 30, 2023, ETC is trading at $22.98 per unit, a decrease of 35.82% from its value after the transition. Archive.org records show that on Sept. 18, 2022, 214.37 terahash per second (TH/s) was dedicated to the Ethereum Classic network.

Presently, F2pool is the largest Ethereum Classic mining pool, with 26.91 terahash per second (TH/s) of the total 119.32 TH/s, equating to 22.55% of the network’s hashrate. Ethermine.org follows with 16.48 TH/s, accounting for about 13.81% of ETC’s hashrate. The other mining pools in the top ten include 2miners.com, Ezil.me, Dogpool.one, Hiveon.net, Poolin, richpool.pro, Pool.btc.com, and Antpool. These ten ETC mining pools have a total hashrate of approximately 95.11 TH/s.
Moreover, Ethereum Classic had approximately $873,161 in total value locked (TVL) in decentralized finance (defi) protocols on Sept. 15, 2022. As of today, the TVL in Ethereum Classic defi protocols has decreased 56.84% to $376,803. Currently, the decentralized exchange (dex) platform Hebeswap dominates with 58.74% of the TVL, amounting to $221,335. However, Hebeswap was also the dex with the worst seven-day TVL decrease of -6.87% in the past week.

Ethereum Classic’s Hashrate and Price Trend Lower After Ethereum PoW to PoS Transition

After the collapse of the popular blockchain network Terra, developers have been trying to revive it; many reforms have already taken place to sustain the Terra Classic (LUNC and prevent further collapse). Terra Classic, the original blockchain, was forked to create Terra (LUNA).
Among these reforms is a recent integration with Interchain Station. The news boosted the Terra Classic (LUNC) price. According to Jared, lead developer at Terraform Labs, more integrations and reforms are coming to Terra soon.
The sudden crash of Terra LUNA sent a cascade effect across the crypto industry, leading several firms to bankruptcy. Many investors are yet to recover from the loss incurred from the Terra implosion.
There are still uncleared controversies surrounding the ecosystem’s sudden collapse. Some say Terra LUNA was a rug pull scheme by Do Kwon, founder of Terraform Labs, to launder and steal people’s money. Meanwhile, Do Kwon and his executives are still on the run from South Korean prosecutors.

More Integrations Coming To Terra Classic Network
In a Twitter announcement, Jared revealed that the Terra Network would partner with other blockchains, including SEI, Juno, Osmosis, Mars, Pisco, and many more. He said the integrations aim to protect the network in the right direction and allow seamless cross-chain communication between Terra and other blockchains.
Jared also told the Terra community to expect a rollout of more features while their main focus is to launch the wallet on mobile devices. The current station supports many mainnets including LUNC, LUNA, Osmosis, Juno, Kujira, Carbon, HuaHua, and Cresent.
Terra’s interchain station wallet would simplify the complex process of interacting with multiple blockchain networks. The wallet would allow users to stake, vote, send, receive tokens, and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) across supported chains.
LUNC price soared by 3% on January 10 when Jared first shared news of the interchain wallet feature via his Twitter handle. Jared referred to the development as a breakthrough in chain integrations.
This move comes after several attempts by the Terra Classic community to revive the sinking Terra Classic project. With the new station wallet, DeFi developers can now access oracle data from several chains through the interchain facility.
Why New Governance Implementation Is Important To LUNC Community
The Terra Classic blockchain saw a rough start in 2023 after being impacted by crypto exchange KuCoin’s December 30 move. On December 30, 2022, KuCoin removed (undelegated) 48 billion Terra Classic (LUNC) tokens from circulation. This issue reduced the voting power of KuCoin’s Terra Classic Validator by 0.25%, taking it up to the 44th position.
The exchange later said it would continue pledging LUNC tokens after a 14-day lock period. However, the move caused a drastic reduction in on-chain activity and stirred much anxiety in the LUNC community, causing the price to fall.
After Kucoin’s move, the community responded by approving and implementing new governance proposals to improve the overall operation of the chain. The Terra ecosystem also started burning tokens to stir up on-chain activity.
The new governance proposals got overwhelming votes from the community with the support of major crypto exchanges. As a result, one of the new implementations is governance proposal 11242, which aims to stop the reminting of already destroyed LUNC tokens.
Once the implementation is complete, it will ensure the effective elimination of tokens from LUNC’s circulating supply which will also boost its price. Presently, the amount of Terra Classic tokens in circulation is nearly 6 trillion.

After the reduction in on-chain activity in the past month, the developers published proposal 11242 at the beginning of January. The aim of proposal 11242 is to stop the reminting burnt LUNC tokens and effectively reduce the seigniorage reward policy to zero.

LUNC price is trading at $0.000177 with a minor decline. The token has gained up to 15.50% in the past week.
